Installing Piaa 910's on the BMW K1200LT
I installed the Piaa 910's due to their high wattage (110) long distance view. I welded tabs on the crash bars and cut slots in the plastic to slide over the brackets. Rather than mounting the studs up as is normal, I mounted the lights with the studs aiming backwards. This tucked the lights up very close to the plastic and made for a clean "factory look" installation. When looking at the bike while standing, you can not see the brackets at all. The switch is tied in to the high beam circuit. The Piaa's only come on with the high beam, and if the remote switch is on.
